NORTHERN LIGHTS is the true story of Cathy Parker, a Florida football mom who sees a Behind the Lines story on ESPN about boys from an isolated high school in the Arctic tundra of Barrow, Alaska that play football on a frozen dirt field covered in rocks.  She begins a campaign that includes relationships with the native Inupiat townspeople in Barrow, the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars and many others, to bring new hope and purpose in the form of an artificial turf field to the northernmost town in the United States. 

The Last Prodigy

Erich Wolfgang Korngold was an Academy Award-winning composer who is credited as the founder of the "Hollywood Sound”. He influenced modern composing icons like John Williams and James Horner.  But it’s the story of his life that’s shocking and inspiring. He was the son of feared Austrian music critic Julius Korngold and early on it was clear to his father that Erich was a child prodigy. At the age of 10 Gustav Mahler declared him “a musical genius”,  and in his 20’s his first full-length opera premiered attracted audiences with “its Straussian musical language and Hitchcock-like plot.”  Korngold was Jewish and the rise of Nazism resulted in his exile from Vienna to Hollywood.
